About Bead Kits
The initial idea behind these kits was for those of you who haven't got the help of a bead tutor to be able to start and finish a project on your own, or to learn a new stitch on your own. They were designed from the viewpoint of learning stitches and skills to help create lovely pieces, rather than individual projects, which have no relationship with other projects or techniques.
The very best thing to do is work your way through the kits, and after each one pause, and think "what if" I change the bead size, or colour, or use a stitch I learnt previously, etc. Make notes and create samples. That way you will increase your confidence and knowledge so that when you see the perfect bead, or have the perfect idea, you will know what to do to achieve your aim.
There are inevitably a few gaps in our stitch repertoire, which we hope to fill in the coming months, but we already have lots of new and lovely kits available.
For Beginners we have tried to keep the designs very simple, but don't be misled, they all look very effective and are very pleasing to do. Also see our Amulet Purses. They are all for complete beginners, and all use Delica Beads (with whatever else is required), with picture, full instructions and everything you need, packaged in a nice little box.
For those with a little more confidence we have the Intermediate range, which are still very easy, but require a little more concentration.
Some will find the Advanced kits very easy but they do require more confidence and some may be fiddly, and in many instances you will be making your own design decisions as to when and where to place embelishments.
