Events 2008This year, due to popular demand, we will be attending a selected few one-day Bead Fairs as well as the bigger shows. Some of the shows have not confirmed their dates as yet (e.g. The Big Bead Show from Bead Magazine) so please check back later. We hope to have all our beads and other supplies with us at these shows - and some things that aren't in the catalogue or the web pages! However we will not be taking any books with us apart from The Beadworkers Guild Introduction to Beadwork Series and of course our new book The Beaders Floral! As many of you will be aware that come to see us at exhibitions we have lots of desirable treats that do not make the pages of our catalogue or website. They include all sorts of delectable beads and pendants and handmade clasps that will inspire your beadwork (such as abalone shells, freshwater pearl texture packs, dichroic pendants, carved gemstone centrepieces and lampworked beads) but they are generally in such small quantities that we are not able to list them. But do not feel you will miss out if you cannot get to see us. Just give us a call and we will be pleased to describe what's available at that time; and we can send samples out to you - all we need is your credit card details for security. If you do come to see us at an exhibition - and we hope that you will - then please remember that our stand gets very crowded, and if you want to peacefully browse and see what's new and what goes with what, then aim for either the very beginning or end of the day. If you are travelling quite a way you may like to phone us first to check that we will be bringing a particular item that you wish to see or you may like to phone us to get together the beads you know you want, to save your exhibition time for browsing and comparing.
Maybe you can come and visit us? If you want to get your hands on all our lovely beads we will be opening our doors on the 1st Saturday of every month, so come and see us and our trillions of beautiful beads! Make a weekend of it - we are close to Beth Chatto's Gardens, and to Constable Country and Sutton Hoo. Whether you just want to pop in for a bead you've run out of, or spend the day in peace indulging in creativity, or meet up with other beaders to chat and compare notes, all our bead friends are welcome to our OPEN DAYS held on the FIRST SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH FROM 11am - 5pm.Why not make a day of it - bring your lunch and beadwork, and spend the day browsing, buying and beading, we will provide tea/coffee/biscuits/advice (and a sofa for your partner to snooze on). Please note: we will be open only on the days specified and not at any other time. (We regret that it would not be possible to operate our widely-praised efficient mail order service at the same time.)
