Current Question Berry braclet
Hi
I live in Sweden, and usually buy B&B magazine when they have a project I like, in June issue is Berry braclet, for some reason my strawberry looks more like a shapeless beaded bead and no resemlence to the pictures, first diagrams show the starting point and using 6 beads, but the next digram has 7 beads ! tried both and non is right, can anyone tell me exact numbers of beads for the first row?

Hello, I am probably not the best person to answer this question, as I have not seen B&B , but I have done this bracelet with Jill at a class, we used 6 beads on the first row to complete the stawberry but also added the beads for the second row at the same time as the first row - I may now have totally confused you, but I know how frustrating it can be when you want to get something done.
The strawberries also make great seasonal earrings!
Happy beading

the strawberry is 6 beads wide. if you imagine them stacked one on top of another they would be small, medium, medium, large, large, small. - try drawing that out to see the shape (since it is in the round you would only need to do half - 3 - to see). then at the end you go back down to the bottom and just bead 3 small and pull the berry into a point. evry row you do look down on it and make sure that you have a thread linking every bead, if you don't do that the structure won't work. then finally add the pips for added strength.
instuctions and good diagrams are in The Beaders Floral which you may like to look at. if you need more help email me.
