Ordering Information

Our phone lines are open 10am - 5pm Monday to Friday (we are closed over the Christmas/New Year break), and if you phone your order before 2pm it will generally be processed on the same day and sent out 1st class post. (Sometimes if we are particularly busy or need to make up a kit your order may take a little longer.)

We take orders and queries off the Internet every morning before 10am, and again we generally send out the same day - anything received after that time may go onto the next day's batch. Alternatively you could fax your order to us or post it (especially if you would like us to match up some shades or samples).

Please do not leave your order to the last minute: we will always try to do our best for you, but sometimes stock may be low or mistakes happen or the post slow, so please leave enough time for your order to reach you.

Please remember if you are keen on using the same colour bead in another size that it may not look identical (that is particularly applicable to the colour lined beads). Also different batches may be "cooked" slightly differently so please remember to buy enough for your project whilst they are from the same batch. We must also point out to you that we have not tested any bead for colourfastness. We buy only best-quality beads, but if it is something you feel strongly about please test before you use.

If a particular item is out of stock we will substitute it for the nearest available unless you tell us not to.   Our site now automatically takes payment at the time of your order. If we know that an item will be back in stock within two weeks we will send it on at no extra postage charge.  If we are aware that a non-substitutable item will not be in stock for more than two weeks we will contact you and ask whether you would like to have the amount refunded or continue to wait.

The Delica (and Double Delica) beads are weighed in 5gr measures - all the other beads are not weighed. Where we have given you an approximate weight and number of beads per tube this is to be used as a guide only, to help you in your planning requirements and slight variations will occur.

If you are ordering from overseas please check the prevailing exchange rate before you order .

All our prices are in U.K. £ Sterling and include VAT at the current rate of 17.5% (except books which are zero rated).  If you are ordering from outside the European Union the VAT will automatically be deducted. 

We accept Visa/MasterCard/Maestro/Solo/Electron. You will need to give us the long number (with no gaps) and the expiry date. For Maestro cards we will also need an Issue number and/or a Valid from date. All cards are now issued with a 3-digit security code (on the signature strip). We will need that number as well to process your payment. If you are ordering from overseas your card issuing company will convert the £ pounds sterling amount into your own currency at the prevailing exchange rate.  Details of this transaction will appear on your card statement.

For your convenience we do not have a minimum order, but please bear in mind that our bank charges are extremely high (and credit card charges even higher) and orders under £5 are very costly for us.
We hope you are already in The Beadworkers Guild. If not, their site has a membership form. Through the Guild you will get access to new bead friends, bead tutors and mentors, and lots of new projects and information through the quarterly journal. You will also get a 10% discount with us for orders over £40 (by phone, post or in person, not online) - please quote your membership number when you order (you may like to get together with some friends to make up an order).
