What we are up to
This year is rushing by so quickly, particularly now that we have started our Online Bead Club! It has been fantastically popular, as has our Bead of the Month Selection. We have been busy choosing beads for these and preparing for the larger project due in May. I had a great time in Arizona, sightseeing and shopping - who could ask for more! But i'm sorry folks that nearly all the beads that I chose there will be exclusively for Bead Club Members - so if you want to see what we've got then you'll need to sign up. It's only £20 for life membership and that will also give you a 10% discount on our shopping cart. This will be the place to see some really special one-off creations that are very limited in their availability and that will inspire your beadwork.
Meantime we have added quite considerably to our range of Delica Beads and also some size 11's. All the beads are up on the site and we will try and get an email newsletter out as soon as we can, but as you know by now we're not too technical and Clare, bless her cotton socks, is working her fingers to the bone getting new kits photographed and typed and diagramed, in between correcting and updating the website, and making up our gorgeous new booklets that some of you may have found in the Filigree Angel Kit.
You will see that one of the new kits, Baubles Bracelet, is a change of style for us with the inclusion of wirework. I have tried to make it as easy as possible for people who have not tried this before, but I thought it was about time we had a kit that gave you a chance to display some of those special handmade beads that you've been buying. Let me know what you think about it.
And Easter has passed by quickly and quietly - I had great plans for getting so much work done on new projects (like those Masterclasses!) but I ended up eating too much chocolate - again! and playing snowball fights in the park - and falling over! But for your info the Alston Lariat Class is full (although we may put on another one) and the Spring Bouquet Class has one place left at time of writing. I'm very honoured and impressed that so many of you are prepared to book something you haven't seen a picture of. Thank You. One day I hope I will get ahead of myself, but I remain grateful that I am kept busy and out of too much mischief!
Meanwhile, Happy Beading, Jill. |
